At Purple Willows Day Nursery, we pride ourselves on providing a nurturing, creative, and educational environment for children aged 6 months to 5 years. We’re looking for a dynamic and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead our team and ensure the highest quality care for our children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth running of the nursery, compliance with policies, and adherence to regulatory requirements (Ofsted, EYFS).
- Team Development: Manage and support a dedicated team of practitioners, fostering a positive and collaborative environment. Provide ongoing coaching, training, and professional development.
- Childcare Excellence: Ensure the delivery of high-quality early years education and care, maintaining a safe and stimulating environment that promotes children’s development and wellbeing.
- Parental Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents and carers, ensuring open communication and involvement in their children’s learning and development journey.
- Health & Safety: Maintain high standards of health and safety, safeguarding, and hygiene throughout the nursery.
- Business Development: Manage occupancy levels and budgets, driving the nursery’s success and ensuring sustainability. Contribute to the nursery’s ongoing growth and marketing strategies.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent (Level 5 or higher preferred).
- Experience: Proven experience in a leadership or management role within a nursery setting. Solid understanding of EYFS, Ofsted regulations, and safeguarding procedures.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Passion for Childcare: A deep commitment to the care, wellbeing, and development of young children.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with staff, parents, and external agencies.
- Flexibility: A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to handle challenges and changes in a fast-paced environment.
