About the Role: We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Nursery Nurse to join a GOOD rated Ofsted school in Dagenham. This part-time role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about early years education and have a Level 3 or similar qualification. Starting in September, the position involves working full days on Monday and Tuesday, and half days on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The nursery is attached to a primary school, providing a seamless transition for children as they progress in their education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Child Development: Support the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of children in the nursery.
  • Daily Activities: Plan and deliver a variety of engaging and educational activities that cater to the diverse needs of children aged 3-5 years.
  • Individual Support: Provide tailored support to individual children, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they receive the care and attention they need to thrive.
  • Classroom Environment: Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment where all children feel valued and supported.
  • Parental Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on their child's progress and well-being.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the nursery and primary school staff to ensure a cohesive approach to early years education.
  • Compliance: Maintain accurate records in line with Ofsted requirements and follow all safeguarding procedures.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Level 3 or equivalent qualification in childcare or early years education is essential.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Passion: A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
  • Commitment: Dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to different situations and work effectively as part of a team.
  • DBS Check: Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
