Nursery Nurse - Wigan - Randstad Education : Job Details

Are you a Level 2 or 3 Early Years Practitioner with an NVQ or CACHE certificate? Or perhaps an experienced Nursery Nurse? Are you looking for a new opportunity starting in January 2025? We are offering positions with flexible working weeks or set hours, tailored to your availability and preferences. Short-term assignments typically last up to 6 weeks, while long-term roles extend beyond 12 weeks or a full term. We are seeking TA and special support assistants to carry out the following duties:

• To provide in-class support for either the whole class, identified individual students or small groups of students (e.g. 4-5 students).
• Under the direction of a class teacher, SENCO, to develop and lead small group work.
• Under the direction of the class teacher, to assist and support in upholding standards of behaviour across the class.
• To assist in delivering and producing teaching and learning materials for students, including differentiating the materials.
• To provide regular feedback to the class teacher and to the SENDCo or the relevant line manager.
• To support the teacher with setting up the class including the daily activities, ensuring that continuous provision is available, display boards, managing pupil journals and work books etc.

Essential requirements:

• Relevant qualifications (L2/3 TA etc.)
• High knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
• Classroom experience.
• Two references from the last 5 years (1 must be a full child-based safeguarding reference)

Desired:
