We are looking for an experienced Acute Occupational Therapist to join the 'Front Door Services' team at Morriston Hospital. This full-time, temporary role involves working with acute patients to assess, plan, and deliver targeted therapy interventions, helping them regain independence and improve their overall well-being. Flexibility is offered regarding start and finish times, ensuring up to full-time hours are covered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment & Therapy: Assess the needs of acute patients and provide individualized therapy interventions to facilitate their recovery and improve daily living skills.
- Rehabilitation Planning: Develop and implement rehabilitation plans aimed at helping patients return to optimal functioning levels.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with the multidisciplinary team, including nurses, doctors, and physiotherapists, to ensure cohesive patient care.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress, in line with organizational protocols.
- Patient & Family Support: Offer advice and education to patients and their families to support ongoing care and rehabilitation.
Essential Criteria:
- Qualifications: HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist.
- Experience Level: Band 6 experience in acute care or hospital settings.
- Skills: Strong clinical skills in occupational therapy, particularly in acute patient care and rehabilitation.
- Availability: Immediate start for a full-time role, continuing until the end of December 2024.
- Location: Ability to work on-site at Morriston Hospital, Swansea.
Working Conditions:
- Monday to Friday (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM), with flexibility on start and finish times to ensure full-time hours are completed.
