Job Title: Band 6/7 Occupational Therapist

Ward: Occupational Therapy Neurological Outpatient Service

Location: Worcester Royal Hospital, Worcester, WR5 1JR

Shift Patterns: 22.75 hours Mon-Fri Either 0800-1600 or 0830-1630

Why might this job interest you?

You will be part of a team delivering Occupational Therapy within the Neurological Outpatient service. The patient group is moderate to complex. The role will involve triaging of new referrals and seeing patients for face to face or virtual appointments.

What you can add:

The role will be to provide client centered occupational therapy for clients referred to the Neurology Out-Patients Service. The service accepts referrals for clients with a wide range of neurological conditions who experience functional difficulties affecting their ability to participate in daily living activities. This will include highly specialist assessment and treatment and possible referrals to other speciality services.

This highly specialized service is predominantly provided to patients in the hospital settings but can also take place in the community, as appropriate.

The service adopts a holistic approach offering assessment and treatment to reduce disability and the impact of the disability arising from physical illness and injury. The service also provides advice and education, precautionary measures and highly specialist treatments e.g. splinting.

What you’ll need:

· Diploma / Degree in Physiotherapy / Occupational therapy.

· HCPC Registration

· Evidence of varied experience within Neurology services (acute, rehabilitation, Outpatients)

· Experience of working with patients with cognitive difficulties

In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of

• Registration with the relevant Registration Body if applicable.
