Occupational Therapy Assistant

3 month initial contract with the view of extension

Hybrid working - Lambeth based, with remote working

We are currently seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our clients Team for a 3 month initial contract with potential for extension. You'll be based within the Adults Social Care but will primarily work with children with disabilities.

You will work as part of a small team of occupational therapists and with colleagues across all sectors to arrange appropriate support in the community. The purpose of the role is to assess or review the occupational therapy needs of children with less complex needs, where screening does not trigger the need for an assessment or review by an occupational therapist.

Requirements:

• Experience of recommending minor adaptations and non-complex major adaptations.
• To arrange delivery / installation and review equipment / adaptations for children using the appropriate assessment tools and guidance, taking account of individual circumstances and being sensitive to the client context.
• Familiarity with children's equipment for the home such as seating, beds hoists and bathing equipment
