Hours:- Mon - Thurs 08:30 - 16:45 & Fri 08:30 - 15:00

Our client is looking for an online sales executive who is responsible for expanding our clients’ online sales across all UK online customer websites, as well as maximising opportunities to enhance the digital user experience, editing web content, monitoring sales, and working closely with sales and marketing to develop sales growth.

The role:

  • Support the development and implementation of the businesses digital sales and marketing strategy across specified UK online customer accounts representing the full product inventory to deliver targeted online sales
  • Develop and maintain strong executive relationships with assigned accounts
  • Develop a deep understanding of the overall commercial performance of specified accounts including a good understanding of supply chain and logistics to ensure optimum profitability and delivery of sales targets
  • Develop and deliver online marketing strategies to drive continual sales improvement of online accounts
  • Plan, develop and deliver compelling digital content to boost the performance of online customer accounts in line with the client’s wider UK brand, corporate website, and other digital platforms
  • Optimise content on the website in conjunction with the Marketing Brand Manager.
  • Coordinate the speedy and efficient completion of vendor account set-up templates and ensure effective ongoing liaison and maintenance of e-commerce customer relationships and support functions.
  • Manage and maintain online accounts ensuring that new products are listed and supported with the correct assets to agreed launch dates. To also ensure that discontinued lines are removed in a timely fashion.
  • Produce monthly online activity and performance reports for specified accounts and present results and forward activity plans at monthly marketing meetings.
  • Maintain a thorough awareness of the latest global developments and trends in online sales and operating platforms and actively seek new online sales opportunities for UK & International markets.
  • Ensure effective liaison / relationship management with other departmental staff, partner organisations and external service providers
  • Adhere to existing working practices, methods, procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities and to respond positively to new and alternative systems.
  • Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate.

The successful candidate:

  • Happy to undertake some UK / International travel
  • Full UK Valid Driving License
  • Good level of academic achievement to degree level or equivalent
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced and often demanding sales, marketing or customer service environment is preferred
  • Experience of working in online e-commerce environments and ideally in content management of websites
  • Competent project / time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication / interpersonal skills to interact successfully at all levels
  • Excellent standard of written communications
  • Highly numerate and able to collect and analyse online performance metrics
  • First-class customer service skills and in possession of excellent relationship management techniques
  • Persuasive with good negotiating and diplomacy skills
  • Able to generate new ideas and follow through to completion
  • Able to work creatively on initiative
  • Excellent Computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Detail focused and able to maintain accurate databases and account records
  • Ability to handle and react positively to change, be flexible and handle uncertainty
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, managing multiple projects simultaneously
