We are working with a leading global provider of IBM Maximo Solutions in their search for a highly skilled OpenShift Engineer.

The client is among a select Maximo partners providing Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Asset Performance Management (APM) expertise on a global scale. With decades of experience, they help organisations streamline operations, improve efficiency, and reduce costs by leveraging advanced technology to create tailored solutions.

Job Description

This role will specifically require working alongside the Application team (Maximo Consultants and Developers) to design and maintain the correct infrastructure environment for their clients and their varying needs.

Essential: Candidate will undergo Relevant Security Clearance - SC or DV.

Responsibilities Include:

• Utilising Redhat OpenShift to build both 'bare metal' and cloud-based clusters.
• Implementing and deploying associated structured OpenShift Master nodes, Worker Nodes and running PODs.
• Performing routine system updates, patches and potential upgrades.
• Troubleshooting and resolving time-sensitive infrastructure issues.
• Implementing security best practices and ensuring their accordance with organisational and company policies.
• Producing and documenting reports regarding performance, security and utilisation.

Skills Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or appropriate industry experience.
• 2+ years of proven experience utilising Red Hat OpenShift administration and support.
• Extensive knowledge of containerisation, (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong familiarity in scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python).
• Ability to efficiently work in a team-oriented environment with potential time pressures.

Certifications Desired:

• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
• IBM Maximo Certifications.
