Operations Clerk- Ocean and road freight - Heathrow Personnel : Job Details

I'm recruiting for an Operations Clerk to join an expanding freight company based in the Basildon area. You must have Ocean and road freight experience.

Daily duties will include:

• Handling ocean and road freight shipments
• Booking freight with approved carriers / lines
• Developing and building relationships with clients
• Discharging t1 shipments
• LCL/ FCL shipments
• Handling queries
• Ensuring pre alert documents are on hand prior to vessel arrival
• Updating customers on shipments
• Arranging collection and delivery
• Liaising with customers and overseas agents & hauliers

Experience needed:

• Experience within ocean and road freight
• Import and export experience
• Customs entries experience
• Strong PC skills
• Minimum 2 years experience working for a freight forwarding company
• Excellent communication skills verbal and written

Working hours:

• Monday - Friday 0900 - 17:30
