Job Description :

Alma Personnel have been tasked with recruiting for an experienced Operations Director for their manufacturing client based out of their Redditch siteWe are seeking a skilled Ops Director to oversee the company's daily operations and drive efficiency across all departments. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities and a proven track record in managing teams.

-Responsibilities -- Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance productivity and streamline processes

- Supervise department heads and ensure alignment with company goals

- Be required to personally lead where appropriate negotiations with customers, partners and suppliers

- Main interface between the client and the company and will operate at a highly professional level.

- Identify the Sales & Estimating Office for the strategic development of contracts in order to deliver increased turnover and profitability

- Control the cost base both within the business and throughout the supply chain through the identification of operational inefficiencies

- Setting of budgets and ensuring that the approved budget is delivered

- Lead cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence- Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement- Develop your own solutions and become entrepreneurial in their approach whilst maintaining the Company’s professional image

- Provide a clear communication link between all parts of the business, bringing any issues to the table for discussion and decision-making- Manage budgets, resources, and projects effectively

- Qualifications -- Proven experience in a senior operational role, demonstrating strong supervisory skills- Exceptional leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively

- Be responsible for leading, managing and coaching team members bringing out their full potential and in doing so optimising the quality of a contract delivery and also individual and team development

- Hold ultimate responsibility for the performance of the business

- Experience -

  • Proven experience in a senior management position, ideally in a manufacturing environment with metal pressing knowledge
  • Developing strategic business plans PR and presentation skills
  • Strong financial acumen particularly in P&L/Budget Management/Forecasting
  • Experience and delivery of multi million-pound high end complex contracts
  • Full understanding of design programmes and associated consequences
  • Understanding of Performance Management systems
  • Ability to interpret drawings or data presented to them
  • Understanding of Buying processes and commercial decision making
  • Experience in recruitment and selection
  • Min 5 years experience in manufacturing leadership role
  • BSc/BA business admin or equivalent

- Duties -

  • Develop and execute the company’s business strategies in order to attain the goals of the board and external stakeholders
  • Creating and updating of the annual short and long-term business plans for the business
  • Implementation of Company policies, ensuring adherence
  • Dispute resolution
  • Reviewing and act on valuations prior to submitting to ensure positive cash flow on projects
  • Monitor and report on Non conformance reports monthly
  • Ensure that the project costs and resource requirements remain within the scope of the plan
  • Preparation and delivery of feedback and reports to Board members
  • Attending regular meetings as required by the main contractor, client or architect
  • Hold ultimate responsibility for employment sustainability, delivering long term recruitment and employee plan, including compensation and benefits
  • Setting clear and uncompromising performance and financial targets for your team which are communicated effectively, met and exceeded.

The salary package includes 10K car allowance at top end of the salary including excellent company benefits
