Newly created role within a smaller brokerage, offering the opportunity for a suitably experienced commercial insurance professional to move into an Operations Manager role.

Our client is a smaller broker on a great growth trajectory, with 15 staff currently. They now have a genuinely exciting opportunity for someone to join their senior management team in a newly created role. This is an exciting and role that is key to their growth and continued success. Working closely with the Head of Commercial to:

• Drive efficiency
• Enhance systems
• Ensure compliance
• Identify operational risks and implement robust controls to mitigate them
• Increase operational performance - review, develop, and streamline internal workflows to ensure best practices and operational excellence.
• Lead projects with both short and long term goals
• Support the team, although this is not a customer-facing role in itself

The business currently have 2 offices, and ideally they would need someone to be able to travel between the 2 and support on both sites.

To be considered you will need:

• Experience within insurance and ideally within commercial insurance with strong knowledge of insurance compliance
• Experience leading and managing a team
• We are happy to consider someone moving away from a customer-facing role
• Used to working in a fast-paced environment, to tight deadlines
• Proven experience driving a customer-focused culture – coaching team members to enhance performance and service levels
• Able to make confident decisions quickly and solve problems.
• Confident and influential communicator
• Experience analysing data and MI reporting to drive decisions

In return, the salary on offer is circa £55,000 plus bonus.
