A skilled Operations Manager is needed to join the team at one of the UK's fastest-growing healthcare simulation equipment companies based in Chesterfield on a full-time basis.
Since 2020, they've provided healthcare simulation and clinical skills training equipment to the NHS, Universities, and Colleges.
As a best-in-class Operations Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring efficiency and productivity across multiple departments. Your primary focus will be the wellbeing of the team, improving operational processes, managing resources, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the operational team to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions where necessary
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, improve sustainability, and enhance customer satisfaction
- Oversee inventory management, supply chain operations, and logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products/services
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance
- Prepare regular reports for the board of directors, providing insights and recommendations for operational improvements
Required Experience:
- Strong leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals
- Proven experience in a scaling operations management role, preferably within a manufacturing, logistics, or healthcare-oriented industry
- Success dealing with international imports, freight forwarders and global customs procedures
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement
- Strong understanding of operational processes, including supply chain management, production, and quality control
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
- Experience of ISO9001 audit and compliance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Degree or above in business management, operations, or a related field
