Overview

Highly successful US owned Electronics Manufacturing company within the challenging Aerospace Sector currently seek to recruit a motivated & experienced Operations Manager to undertake a highly challenging position at well situated offices based in Feltham.

About the role

Reporting to the Managing Director the Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, purchasing and supply chain within the dynamic and challenging Aerospace sector. Key duties include:

• Manage the company Production Department of 12 persons with full responsibility for labour, inventory and material planning
• Oversee the Procurement and Purchasing Department ensuring full viability regarding product or material shortfalls and predicted lead times.
• Undertake full control of the supply chain and inventory function to ensure stock levels are kept to an optimum and there is a highly efficient manufacturing process.
• Drive continuous improvements across the business
• Setting team objectives and personal development plans
• Oversee product testing, fault finding and customer returns
• Implement performance KPIs across the production, purchasing and supply chain functions
• Prepare business cases for suggested efficiency improvement projects
• Implement and manage corporate Health & Safety policy

About you:

You will Degree educated, ideally within an Electronics or Engineering discipline and have a proven track record within the Electronics Manufacturing sector

In addition you will have have gained senior level Operations experience that has encompassed proven man-management within the Production, purchasing and supply chain functions

The successful applicant will have experience using a modern MRP and ERP system and ideally knowledge of SAP Business One
