Job Title: Operations Manager
Location: Exeter
Duration: Temporary , minimum 3 months with potential for permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week. Flexible around school times 9-3.30
Salary: £16.63 per hour / £31,996 per annum
The Role :. Our client a reputable school in the heart of Exeter is seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to join their team! As an Operations Manager, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth day to day running, responsible for representing the school in and managing all non-teaching related services and supporting a dedicated team contributing to excellence in education.
Key Duties :
- Provide management for the non-teaching related services within the school, contributing to the achievement of the academy's vision.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team and external teams to ensure the School and Trust objectives are met.
- Contribute to the planning, development, and organisation of support service systems, procedures, and policies.
- Implement Trust policies, with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Support marketing and promotion activities to increase pupil numbers and meet school capacity targets.
- Coordinate admission arrangements, maintaining waiting lists and allocating nursery spaces according to the school's admission policy.
- Supervise, train, and develop administrative staff as appropriate.
- Organise school visits, events, and tours to enhance the school's community engagement.
- Participate in training and development activities as required.
- Oversee the effective administration system, managing the main office and reception area.
- Work in partnership with community/voluntary and regulatory bodies as required.
- Multi-tasking various sections of the school including HR, staffing issues, catering, contracts and some finance-related tasks.
About You :
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager or in a similar role.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality and efficiency
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Proficiency in IT systems and packages
- Knowledge of financial administration procedures
- Experience in developing and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders
- Enhanced DBS Check is desirable
