Remuneration: £50,000 - £60,000

The role of the Operations Manager - Timber Manufacturing will involve:

• Operations Manager position overseeing the manufacturing and production line for a high end range of timber products
• Manage and oversee the production personnel to achieve maximum production efficiency
• Ensure that all orders are manufactured and despatched in a timely fashion
• Ensure that all regulations, policies and health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times
• Liaise with maintenance staff to ensure that plant machinery is fully operational and down time is a minimum
• Identify areas of the production line that need improving to increase productivity
• Provide regular feedback to the workforce around performance
• Overseeing a production team of circa 60 with 3 direct reports

The ideal applicant will be an Operations Manager - Timber Manufacturing with:

• Must have Operation Management experience within the manufacturing market sector
• Ideally will be from a timber products or construction related background dealing with: timber, lumbar, material timber, saw milling, saw mill, decking, fencing, whitewoods, carcassing etc
• Must be an excellent communicator and leader
• Lean manufacturing skillset (5S), IOSH & NEBOSH qualifications would be advantageous
• IT literate and familiar with manufacturing software
• Proactive, motivated, and highly organised
