Scope of role:
- To plan and deliver business objectives and KPI's
- Continuous improvement, with focus on efficiencies and objectives
- Ensuring UK operations are audit ready and fully compliant
- Manage and maintain site 5s standards
- Responsibility for budgets, site security and health & safety
- Looking after between 15-20 people within the UK team
- Working with HR to source and manage staffing
- Involvement in business development and new client integration
- Lead the planned strategy/vision for the development of the UK operation
- Regular interaction with existing and prospective customers
Skills & attributes needed:
- A consistent background in managerial roles
- Business management degree or a related field of study
- Solid knowledge of distribution & logistics functions including customs compliance
- Continuous improvement & LEAN - Six Sigma experience
- Track record on delivery within tight budget deadlines
- Awareness or experience within Technical/IT field - advantageous
