You will play a key role in handling customer enquiries and providing support to the Service Manager.

Key Responsibilities of the Operations Supervisor:

  • Handle telephone traffic responding to customer enquiries regarding collections and deliveries.
  • Provide job status updates.
  • Place stock orders with various suppliers.
  • Locate the best supply options to fulfil engineers’ requirements about lead time and price.
  • Provide support to the engineering staff in the Service Managers absence in issuing jobs and addressing administrative queries related to workshop duties and job allocation.
  • Organise collections and deliveries through courier and carrier services.
  • Ensure that quotations are dealt with within the required time according to the companies desired KPI and to follow up on quotations to convert these into repairs.
  • Assist customers who visit the branch to collect repaired items or drop-off items.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Educated to T or A level / HND/ NVQ5 or similar, ideally in an engineering discipline.
  • Previous experience in similar Admin / Customer Service role.
  • Ability and commitment to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • IT competent, use of Google Workspace an advantage.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure, at times working independently.
  • Have experience of engineering industry, electronics industry (desirable).
