Looking for a hands-on role with a leading traffic management company? SRL Traffic Systems is hiring an Operative to support our busy depot in Cumbernauld.

Why SRL Traffic Systems?

What You'll Do as an Operative:

• Deliver, set up, and collect portable traffic lights.
• Perform battery exchanges, inspections, and minor repairs on hire fleet equipment.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and legal compliance through daily checks.
• Ensure equipment is serviceable and quarantine faulty units for repair.
• Provide excellent customer service before and after site visits.
• Complete paperwork, obtain signatures, and report stock usage.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols, reporting hazards and near misses.
• Support training initiatives to develop skills and knowledge.

A company van, mobile phone, and PPE will be provided. Hours: 42.5 per week, Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. On-call rota and overtime available.

What We’re Looking For:

• Full UK driving license (max 6 points).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
• A safety-first mindset with excellent customer service skills.
• Flexible, reliable, and proactive attitude.

Bonus Skills:

• Basic electrical fault-finding.
• Experience in highways or traffic light equipment.
• CSCS card holder.
• Towing competency (up to 3.5T with plant equipment).
• Company vehicle & fuel card (if applicable).
• Mobile phone/laptop (if applicable).
