Outreach - Preston:

Prospero Teaching are looking for an Outreach worker to support children with SEMH in the community near Preston. You must be able to drive for this role.

Responsibilites:

  • Taking attendance in the mornings
  • Liasing with parents regarding absences
  • Confident in liasing with social services and other parties to best support the individual
  • Confident in behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies
  • Referring to education and health care plans (EHCP)

Position Details:

  • Position - Outreach Worker
  • Location: Preston
  • Hours: 0800 - 1500
  • Type of work: Temporary
  • Full time/part time: Full time
  • Start date: January 2025
  • End date: Ongoing
  • Minimum rate of pay: £90 - £120 per day depending on experience

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues
  • Team Teach qualification would be highly desirable
  • Must be able to drive as this is a driving role

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
