Location: Cheltenham

Working hours: Monday 07:45 -16:15, Tuesday - Thursday 07:30 - 16:30, and Friday 07:30 - 13:00.

Hourly Pay: £13.90

Contract Type: 12 weeks temporary-permanent.

Our client, a leading organisation in the logistics industry, is seeking a skilled and reliable Packer to join their team at their Cheltenham location. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with experience in manual handling, picking, and packing to become an integral part of a dedicated team.

Here's what a typical day as a Packer looks like:

  • Packing items based on packing specifications using a variety of materials requested by the client.
  • Picking customer orders accurately using a pick sheet.
  • Enter client order details into their systems with precision and attention to detail.
  • Print labels and label picked/packaged orders, ensuring they are ready for despatch.
  • Scan and file documents to maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct stock counts and promptly report any discrepancies in stock and packaging materials.
  • Show great attention to detail and accuracy when packing customer orders.
  • Provide support to other departments during busy periods.

Requirements:

  • A basic DBS check will be conducted to work on our client's premises.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment, particularly in a packing role.
  • Familiarity with manual handling techniques.
  • Proficient in picking customer orders.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to enter data accurately into systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure all orders are packed correctly.
  • Willingness to support other departments when required.
