A leader in providing personalised solutions for the electrical and renewable energy sectors. We are seeking an Electrician to join an innovative team as a panel wirer. Day-to-day of the role:
- Assemble protection and control panels.
- Layout and mechanical assembly of panels according to General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
- Perform electrical wiring according to schematic drawings.
- Conduct electrical interconnection wiring and point-to-point checks of completed panels.
- Assemble P&C panels on switchgear and perform mechanical fitting.
- Provide general assistance in the production area, including maintaining cleanliness, managing stock levels of standard panel build equipment, and completing production paperwork.
- Aid production engineers by contributing to production requirements, installing equipment in sub-stations, cutting cable, fitting with cable identification labels, and testing equipment.
- Identify and communicate any potential health and safety risks in the production area.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical schematics.
- General IT skills (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
- Relevant electrical qualification (e.g., Level 3 qualified in a relevant field, BTEC, City and Guilds electrical qualification, or recognised apprenticeship/training body).
- Desirable: Experience in electrical control panel wiring and assembly of protection and control panels used to control medium voltage switchgear.
