Job Description :

We are working on behalf of a well-established and reputable Independent Financial Advisers in Ipswich who are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paraplanner to join their growing team and support their Financial Advisors in delivering comprehensive financial solutions.

As a Paraplanner, you will play a vital role in assisting our financial advisers by preparing high-quality, accurate, and compliant reports and recommendations. You will also be involved in client research, data analysis, and helping to implement financial plans. This position requires strong technical knowledge of financial planning, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial reports, suitability letters, and recommendations for clients
  • Conduct research and analysis on financial products, investments, and pensions
  • Assist in the preparation of client reviews and meeting notes
  • Support financial advisers with the implementation of financial plans
  • Maintain and update client records and financial plans in the CRM system
  • Ensure all work complies with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Communicate with clients and providers, ensuring timely responses to queries
  • Assist in the development of financial strategies based on client needs and goals

Key Skills and Experience Required:

  • Previous experience as a Paraplanner or in a similar financial services role is essential
  • Strong understanding of financial planning and products (pensions, investments, protection, etc.)
  • Excellent report writing and technical skills
  • Knowledge of financial planning software and CRM systems
  • Ability to research, analyse, and interpret financial data
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A relevant qualification such as the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS) or equivalent is desirable
