We are seeking a friendly and organised Hosting and Refreshments Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services during university events, meetings, and conferences. This role involves coordinating refreshments, setting up event spaces, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all attendees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Coordination: Assist in planning and organising university events, including meetings, seminars, and conferences.
- Refreshments Management: Arrange and manage refreshments, including ordering, setting up, and replenishing food and beverages.
- Hospitality Services: Greet and assist guests, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
- Venue Setup: Prepare event spaces, including arranging seating, tables, and audiovisual equipment as needed.
- Clean-Up: Oversee the clean-up process after events, ensuring venues are left in good condition.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and external vendors to ensure smooth event execution.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hospitality, event planning, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
