Pastoral Assistant - Reed : Job Details

Role: Pastoral Assistant 

Location: Milton Keynes 

Start Date: ASAP 

Pay: £100 - £150 per day 

REED are currently working with a secondary school based around the Milton Keynes area, supporting them recruit a Pastoral Assistant to start on a full-time basis in the coming weeks. 

Role Responsibilities:- Provide support to the pastoral lead, working collaboratively to improve behaviours and attendance and liaising with all relevant staff- Provide targeted assistance within the classroom setting to students experiencing challenges related to social, emotional or mental health (SEMH)- Conduct 1-1 sessions with students to address specific pastoral concerns- Working with the school's pastoral team to respond to on call support- Regularly review and modify educational plans based on ongoing assessment and progress monitoring- Complete risk assessments for students, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for them- Build positive relationships with students, working towards positive behavioursPerson Specification:- Experience in a school pastoral role/similar role- Confidence in your ability to support students with special educational needs and challenging behaviours- A passion for education & supporting students to reach their full potential- An Enhanced DBS Certificate and two professional references are a requirement for this role
