Are you passionate about supporting students and ensuring their well-being Our client is looking for a compassionate and proactive individual to support all aspects of student pastoral care. This is a fantastic term time opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of their students!
Key Responsibilities:
- Pastoral Support: Keep Pastoral Leaders updated on any issues or concerns affecting students, ensuring effective communication and swift action.
- Student Well-Being: Provide proactive and reactive support to students facing challenges, including bereavement, mental health concerns, family dynamics, and friendships.
- Attendance Excellence: Work alongside the Attendance Lead to promote a culture of excellence, providing high standards of service to all stakeholders.
- Administrative Support: Offer top-notch administrative assistance to the Attendance Lead, managing student absence follow-ups and sharing relevant information.
- Parent and Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a point of contact for parents, working closely with tutors, teachers, and external agencies to ensure students’ needs are met.
- Welfare and Recognition Support: Assist students across all year groups with welfare concerns, as well as managing awards, certificates, and student achievements.

Essential Criteria
Education:
- Educated to at least GCSE standard including Maths and English Grade C/5 or above
- NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification
Experience:
- Ability to work in a confidential manner
- Flexible and proactive in approach
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with students
- Experience of working with key agencies to resolve situations
- Professional completion of interview
- Ability to communicate to a diverse range of people at all levels, verbally and in writing
- Time management skills, organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Proven IT and keyboard skills
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team with interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of child protection / safeguarding procedures
- Awareness data protection issues relevant to the post
