Pastoral Support Assistant 

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a successful school in Holywell as a Pastoral Support Assistant.

The school are seeking a passionate Pastoral Support Assistant to be part of their journey of rapid growth and improvement. This role involves being able to support students both academically, as well as with mentorship. You will play a pivotal role in supporting students in raising attainment and boosting confidence!

Hours: 08:15 - 03.30pm

Pastoral Assistant Responsibilities & Duties:

• To encourage students to contribute to their individual Learning Plans; take an active part in planning their own future and to accept responsibility for their actions and works towards managing their behaviour
• Work with the Class Teacher to ensure the classroom is well managed, as well as working with the Pastoral lead to monitor behaviour and wellbeing progress.
• Supporting with both academic and wellbeing support
• To develop the positive self-esteem and confidence of all students.

Pastoral Assistant Requirements:

• Have proven experience working with pupils in a classroom setting within the last two years
• Have the ability to differentiate work according to each individual child’s needs
• Be a good communicator who can work closely with colleagues
• Have good literacy and behaviour management skills
• Be able to work on your own initiative
