Job Description :

Our client is a leading firm is currently seeking a Payments Administrator on a fixed-term basis in Southampton. This role offers a unique opportunity for a driven and detail-oriented individual to contribute to a dedicated and professional team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Input payments provided by the administration teams, ensuring deadlines are met and high-quality standards are maintained.
  • Utilise all banking platforms proficiently for payment input and account operations.
  • Conduct daily cash management tasks across multiple bank accounts, becoming familiar with banking and payment processes including billing and cash collection.
  • Review and recommend improvements for the current payments process.
  • Manage and upload all payment spreadsheets.
  • Investigate and clear any reconciliation items within the payments process promptly.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Team to review new payment platforms.
  • Create and maintain beneficiary templates for regular suppliers and investors.

Employees must ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures and meet all personal AML obligations as part of their duties.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Educated to at least 'A' level standard or equivalent, with a willingness to study towards a relevant professional qualification.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Training and coaching will be provided.
  • Ability to write business correspondence and handle routine emails, enquiries, and telephone calls.
  • Develop skills to present information effectively and respond to questions from team members and clients.
  • Become familiar with statutory requirements and corporate governance matters, proficient in organising board meetings.
  • Understand agreements associated with real estate and private equity, including LPA, debt documentation, sale and purchase agreements, and leases.
  • Participate in meetings and ensure timely completion of minutes and resolutions for review.

Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work within a team and independently.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills are essential.
  • Proven computer literacy skills; training on internal systems, controls, and procedures will be provided.
