Payroll Administrator - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

Your new roleWorking in the existing team, you will undertake a variety of essential responsibilities, including:

• Oversee the entire monthly payroll cycle, including liaising with the payroll provider to finalise payslips and ensure timely monthly payments.
• Process starter forms, add new employees to the time and attendance software and pension website.
• Handle the processing of leavers and request P45s.
• Compile information on hours worked and pay rates across all sites for each employee to include in monthly payslips.
• Report hours incurred and payroll costs on a departmental basis each month.
• Record sick pay, maternity pay, and paternity pay.
• Complete all necessary paperwork for external enquiries.

What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for this role, you should have at least one year of experience processing payroll for hourly-paid staff. Additionally, you should have a minimum of one year of experience working in a fast-paced finance office. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Familiarity with payroll software and a solid understanding of payroll regulations and compliance are also essential.
