Our client is seeking Payroll Administrators to join their team on a full-time, ongoing, temporary basis

The ideal candidate will have experience within a similar role, have excellent attention to detail and be able to communicate professionally with clients and candidates.

This is a home based role, working Monday to Friday.

Job role:

  • To accurately complete a range of HR and Payroll related tasks within a defined deadline
  • Respond to customer queries, providing quality responses via email and telephone
  • Develop a knowledge of payroll processing including statutory deductions and the application of pensions criteria

Payroll Administrator responsibilities:

  • Support the on-boarding process for new customers, taking action to ensure employee records are updated
  • Maintain and update appropriate employee records to ensure accurate and timely payments and deductions are made and any associated correspondence is provided.
  • Take ownership of HR & Payroll queries, liaising with colleagues as appropriate to ensure accurate and timely resolutions are provided to customers.
  • Process pension tasks in line with the relevant pension scheme and bandings, ensuring accurate deductions.
  • Completion and submission of relevant pension forms including, but not limited to, opt-outs, opt-ins, retirement requests to the pension administrators supporting the Pensions Team with any associated queries.
  • Ensure accurate application of absence schemes to employee records adhering to client policies and procedures, providing notifications as required.
  • Ensure accurate payments and deductions in respect of employee benefit schemes
  • Complete manual payroll calculations, having regard to changes in regulations (such as Income Tax, National Insurance, and Statutory Sick Pay etc.)

Skills required:

  • Good knowledge of using IT systems
  • Evidence of numeracy and literacy qualifications
  • Experience of delivering customer facing services
  • ICT Literacy, a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Numerate and literate, with excellent accuracy and attention to detail
