Job Title: Payroll and Benefits Manager Location: Wavendon, Milton Keynes Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (pro-rata)Employment Type: Permanent Position - Flexibility with hours available

About the Opportunity:

We are partnering with a leading organisation in Wavendon, Milton Keynes to recruit an experienced Payroll and Benefits Manager reporting to the Head of HR. This is a prime opportunity for a senior payroll professional to take on a critical role, driving the payroll function during a pivotal period for the business.

You will be stepping in to provide leadership and strategic support as the company navigates several significant projects. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring seamless payroll processing while contributing to process enhancements and project success.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Management:

  • Manage payroll processing via Cascade, including starters, leavers, and pay adjustments (redundancy, holiday, overtime).
  • Ensure smooth integration between HR and payroll systems, and maintain pension auto-enrolment records.
  • Generate payroll reports, journals, and deductions; liaise with HR for system improvements.
  • Inform employees about pay changes and address payroll queries.

Benefits Administration:

  • Administer employee benefits, including enrolments, terminations, and payroll deductions.
  • Lead internal benefits reviews, providing recommendations and presenting to employees.
  • Resolve benefits-related queries and manage monthly billing accuracy with providers.
  • Conduct audits to ensure correct benefit enrolments and manage third-party claims.

Compliance & Reporting:

  • Ensure payroll and benefits are accurate, compliant, and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Collaborate with finance to ensure accurate recording of payroll costs.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and address HMRC requirements.
