We are looking for someone with lots of enthusiasm with a desire to learn and succeed, a focused mind and a "Can Do" attitude.Key responsibilities for our Group Payroll Manager:As the Group Payroll Manager you will ensure the various overseas payroll and benefits departments run in a manner aligned to achieving the business success:
- Manage and Lead the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for all staff, including the production and validation of payslips, statutory returns, and reports
- Ensure that all payroll operations comply with statutory regulations, including HMRC enquiries, gender pay gap reporting
- Ensure pension scheme administration is accurate and up to date, complying with all regulatory requirements
- Manage and review the existing T&A system
- Travel to local sites to meet with colleagues and answer questions
- Manage the UK pension scheme
- Administer the various company benefits schemes; including private medical insurance, life assurance, health cash plans, cycle to work
- Assist the HR team with maintaining the HR system 'bob'
- Prepare for Gender Pay Reporting and Executive Pay Reporting
- Assist the Learning and Development team to effectively utilise our Apprenticeship Levy
- Analyse and report on payroll data
- Always be looking at continual improvement
- Assist with audits as and when required
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation, pension schemes, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
- Actively participate in day-to-day payroll operations to ensure practical knowledge of systems and processes, and to provide operational cover when required
- Manage the overseas payroll functions with outsourced providers
- Work with global payroll teams to ensure that payrolls are processed in accordance with country legislation
- Keep up to date with payroll legislation
What you'll need to succeed
- Comprehensive understanding of UK tax and payroll laws
- Computer literacy in using Microsoft Office suite and payroll software
- Written and verbal communication, including active listening and report writing
- Deductive reasoning for analysing raw payroll data and using it to develop and refine payroll policies
- Conflict resolution for dealing with disputes between payroll team members and employee pay enquiries
- Organised work ethic and multi-tasking
- European payroll experience
