PDI Technician - Meridian Business Support : Job Details

Due to growth, we are currently recruiting for a PDI Technician to join a leading supplier of prestige vehicles in Rochdale. Excellent benefits on offer, including a generous commission structure, subsidised car schemes and more!This is a full time, permanent role working Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm and alternate Saturdays 8.30am – 12.30pm with a salary of £28,080 plus commission £30,880 OTE.As PDI Technician, you will be responsible for conducting inspections on new vehicles before they are delivered or collected by customers. As PDI Technician, your key responsibilities will include:

• Inspecting vehicles for damage and / or missing components
• Checking vehicles for loose or misaligned items such as trim, doors and hardware
• Report any unsafe issues immediately
• Start engine and make sure all aspects of vehicle are working i.e. Indicators, lights, heating etc.
• Record the completion of the PDI and update fleet systems
• Inspect vehicle bodywork to detect minor chips and scratches in paint
• Document any repair work that needs to be carried out
• Carry out the vehicle Pre-Delivery Inspection to manufacturer specification.

We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:

• Experience working in a similar role within the automotive sector (PDI Technician, Vehicle Technician)
• City & Guilds Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance would be ideal
• Flexible in your approach to work, and work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to resolve problems and have a can do, right first-time approach
• Full UK driver’s license – essential
