How you'll make an impact

Join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in handling our comprehensive payroll and pension services. We are seeking a diligent professional to:

  • Coordinate the monthly PAYE process, ensuring timely and accurate submissions, including zero submissions, to meet HMRC deadlines.
  • Verify BACS submissions for precision and handle BACS recalls efficiently.
  • Lead the BACS rejects process, collaborating with Treasury and Admin teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Set up banking arrangements for our international pensioners, improving their experience.
  • Perform calculations for advance payments and overpayments, ensuring accuracy and fairness.
  • Manage the processing of incoming and outgoing post, handle P60/payslip requests, and support tax year-end processes.
  • Respond to pension statement requests and manage daily incoming emails with integrity and care.
  • Complete all training requirements, maintaining up-to-date training logs to ensure continuous professional development.

About You

Join our team as a Payroll Specialist, where your expertise will make a difference in managing pension payroll responsibilities. We are looking for candidates who bring:

  • At least 2 years of experience in payroll, with a focus on pension payroll.
  • Proficiency in manual tax calculations and a strong understanding of HMRC deadlines.
  • Strong skills in Maths and English, supported by good GCE/GCSE results.
  • A logical approach to problem-solving and keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong literacy and communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and taking accountability.
  • A self-motivated, positive, and flexible attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant IT systems.
  • A dedication to compliance with Corporate Policies & Procedures and regulatory obligations.
