Role Summary
This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with previous management experience or a current Senior Pensions Administrator ready to take that next step up. This role will be a hybrid role working from home 2 days a week and at our Crawley office 3 days a week.
Our Operations teams must deliver a service to our clients that is in line with strict client contractual and regulatory requirements, as well as protecting the commercial interests of EQ. Our client base is varied and includes Financial Services, Large Corporate and Public and Third Sector clients, and through leveraging technology and innovation, Operations must deliver an excellent service across our diverse client base.

Purpose of role
To guide, develop and motivate your team to achieve all performance measures, both as an individual and as a team. Support a culture where your teams are full of pride and passion for what they do.

Take ownership of tasks and decision making, identify prospects for continuous improvement within their area of control and the wider Pension Operations.
Support full succession and resource planning to meet all departmental requirements and needs.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Control, review and monitor all service standards and activities to ensure they are being met, to the required quality standards identifying resources to achieve this.
- Through the use of planning software ensure the team is resourced effectively to enable consistent planning and performance management sharing shortages or latent capacity.
- Use the Performance Management framework to undertake regular one to ones, appraisals, quality and activity feedback and drive training and development.
- Know your customer and be engaged with stakeholder responsible for the client relationship.
- To guide, coach, develop and motivate your team using the tools and resources available.
- Set key clear Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and objectives to ensure individual engagement and contribution to the team goal.
- Communicate effectively with your teams, peers and the wider group, including the use of daily huddles.
- Complete the recruitment process from raising the vacancy to on-boarding to meet the teams resourcing requirements.
- Ensure all processes are regularly reviewed, continually improved and the procedure notes are kept updated to reflect the process, adhering to regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Ensure all compliance monitoring and audit actions are completed to the required standards and within the target date.
Skills, Capabilities and Attributes
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills and behaviours:
- Previous experience of being a Team Manager.
- Previous experience and a good understanding of working within a Pensions or Financial Services role.
- Previous experience of producing information and documents to a high standard of presentation with a high level of accuracy
- Be able to identify training needs and provide development plans and coaching to support. driving process improvements within your team
- Be able to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, develop and sustain relationships with a wide range of individuals and within groups.
- Have experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Be able to drive process improvements within your team and recognise opportunities for Continuous Improvement
