Your Role as a People Advisor

As a key member of the HR team, you will provide expert guidance and support across the employee lifecycle, helping to shape a thriving and inclusive workplace. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advising managers and employees on a variety of employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinaries, and absence management.
  • Maintaining accurate HR/ER case records and tracking progress within the HR team.
  • Supporting organisational change initiatives, such as restructures, TUPE transfers, and performance management processes.
  • Driving recruitment initiatives, participating in selection processes, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience for new staff.
  • Promoting employee engagement, wellbeing, and safety by leveraging resources like the Employee Assistance Programme and Occupational Health provider.
  • Contributing to the development of HR policies and ensuring compliance with employment legislation.

The ideal candidate will be a confident and approachable HR professional with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will have:

  • A strong understanding of employment legislation and its practical application.
  • Experience in a similar HR role, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software systems.
  • The ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and staff at all levels.
