Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm with an unpaid 1-hour lunchbreak)

Salary: Up to £50k per annum, dependent on skills and experience

The Role:
As a result of rapid expansion, our client is seeking to recruit a People Business Partner who will report to the Finance Director. This is an exciting new role for the business where the right person will be able to make this role their own. Working closely with external advisors and senior management, responsibilities will include leading on all employment related strategies whilst closely supporting management, inclusive of driving the recruitment and retention process.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Manage all employee-related activities across a multi-site business.
- Develop, implement and champion the people strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Introduce, implement and maintain site policies and procedures that support effective people management.
- Lead and advise on all employment topics.
- Ensure site compliance and adherence to UK employment laws at all times.
- Lead on our employee engagement policies to be an employer of choice and maximise employee retention.
- Ensure recruitment and selection practices are efficient, effective and focused on attracting the best talent. Support and advise line managers through recruitment activities.
- Employee KPI metrics reporting (turnover, retention, cost per hire) on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Review metrics to ensure they are business relevant and value adding.
- Develop the in-house software platform, currently BrightHR.
- Develop PDP framework to include clear targets, career discussions, behaviours and alignment to business goals.
- Manage employee relations in conjunction with our external legal advisors.
- Define and manage our employee onboarding and offboarding programmes.
- Manage and develop the company’s reward and recognition benefits scheme.
- Drive our business culture, shared values, beliefs and practices.
- Provide effective management training and support, through mentoring and coaching and upskilling all levels of management in the business.

Person specification:
Essential
- CIPD Qualified to level 5
- Demonstrable generalist HR management experience
- Ability to work well with staff at all levels and represent the business with a high degree of professionalism, integrity and business ethics
- Proven experience in driving change and best HR practice
- Prior experience in mentoring and training for all levels
- Prior experience in delivering HR metrics
- Ability to manage multiple employment-related projects with strong organisational skills.
- Self-motivated with strong leadership skills
- Commercially focused with strong presentation skills
- Strong communicator (oral and writing), with the confidence to professionally challenge where required.
- An analytical approach and critical thinker
- Team player with a strong work ethic and a proactive approach
- HR system and database knowledge
- Intermediate MS Office skills
Desirable
- 2+ years’ experience working within a manufacturing business at a senior level.
- CIPD qualified to level 7.
- Advanced MS Office skills
