Our client based near Brighton (Hybrid working only 1 day in the office each week) are seeking a HR Officer / HR Administrator to join them in a maternity contract for 12-16 months. As the People Services Co-Ordinator (HR Officer) you'll provide support to colleagues across the group at all levels in relation to Human Resources, Talent/Recruitment and Learning & Development.
Skills required:
- Proficient IT Skills: You'll need to be adept at using People systems (such as Workday).
- Administration skills: Experience of working within a HR, Learning & Development, or Talent/Recruitment environment is essential.

The role:
- Being the first point of contact for People related queries (HR, Learning & Talent), always representing the company in a professional manner, resolving queries in line with SLAs.
- You'll maintain Inboxes/Ticketing services along with all associated HR/Talent/Learning procedures to ensure timely responses and relevant information is provided.
- Support across the wider People Team helping to co-ordinate learning agreements/interview processes, responding to queries, and providing support with other ad-hoc HR/learning/talent activities. Supporting the Benefits/Reward team and will play a key role in scheduling learning courses for L&D.
- Manage the HR, Learning and Talent processes for your assigned pillar
- Proactively manage all leaver processes in a timely manner, ensuring wherever possible leavers are processed within 24 hours of notification to minimise payroll issues.
- Maintenance of People processes on the Workday system ensuring colleague records are kept up to date, accurate and comply with relevant legislation within a timely manner. Review HR/Learning/Talent procedures on a regular basis to ensure these meet the needs of the business.
- Raise and process purchase orders as required.
- Support the screening processes with new and current employees as appropriate
- Provide support through dealing with visa queries.
- Support the appraisal process
- Liaise with payroll to ensure monthly salary payment data is correctly managed
- Manage all aspects of People administration including new starters and leaver process in accordance with the requirements of the business and in line with data protection and employment legislation
- Deal with all requests for employment/mortgage/lettings references in line with company policy
- Support the HR department to achieve the People Strategy objectives by contributing to and assisting with the delivery of individual projects.
- You'll ensure that all data is managed in line with the data protection principles
Qualifications
- Relevant HR/Talent/Learning experience.
- CIPD Level 3 or the desire to work towards
Additional Skills:
- Recent proven HR/Learning/Talent experience.
- Experience using People systems i.e. Workday.
- Experience of working with Microsoft Office applications at high levels.
