Job Description :

We are looking for a supportive, enthusiastic individual to support our fantastic team of assessors!

The role of the Performance Team Leader is to mentor a team of assessors through the monitoring of their performance and wellbeing, alongside providing support to achieve their objectives. The ability to speak and write via the Welsh language is desirable. Previous experience of assessment practice within the leadership and management arena is essential as is a qualification held in assessment practice.

This position is home (field) based, however as some travel may be expected on occasions, the ability to travel is essential.

Summary of Role

  • To conduct regular probation reviews/performance reviews with Assessors under your management to monitor staff wellbeing, job satisfaction and progress in their role and achievement against KPIs.
  • Complete monthly Caseload Management Review meetings with Assessors.
  • Manage all aspects of HR for Assessors.
  • Work in conjunction with Engagement Lead, Conformance Manager and Lead IQA to improve performance metrics within the department to achieve contracts. Including attainment, timely achievement and the management of early leavers and suspensions.
  • To take responsibility for the monitoring and completion of OEED learners.
  • To work with Engagement Lead and Lead IQA during the handover process of learners and to help to complete learners if necessary.
  • Support the activities of Portal’s QA Team to ensure assessors are effectively meeting standards, progressing learners and contributing to continuous improvement
  • To provide an excellent level of customer service to all learners, mentors, employers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure work practices and performance conforms to Welsh Government, Lead Provider, Awarding Organisation and company specification.
  • Embrace Continuous Professional Development in order to develop own knowledge of full apprenticeship provision by research and involvement in learning and development opportunities.

Salary: £33,500 - £35,000 per annum, PLUS a Welsh-speaking uplift from £500.

Base: Field-based (Home-based).

Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week), although reduced hours will be considered.
