This is an outstanding opportunity for a pre-litigation Claims Handler with a minimum of 6 months experience to join a leading L500 law firm in Bradford.

The firm has an immediate requirement for a junior-level pre-litigation Claims Handler with a minimum of 6 months experience to join its busy, modern Bradford city centre office, defending EL/PL claims.

This role would ideally suit a law graduate with an interest in Personal Injury or an existing Claims Handler, ideally with experience in defendant PI or RTA, looking for their next position.

Main Duties

Under the advice and guidance of your supervisor, your main duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting defence of EL/PL claims for Personal Injury from the beginning of the claim up to, but not including, litigation – preferably with a retail focus
• Using the MOJ EL/PL Portal
• Dealing with opponents, experts, statutory bodies and client by e-mail, telephone and in writing
• Negotiating on issues of liability and quantum
• Pursuing recovery of clients’ losses, where appropriate, from third parties
