Job Description :

There is an opportunity for a Solicitor (NQ-3) to join a fast-growing Personal Injury team in Oxford.

As a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive, the successful candidate will consistently deliver high-quality legal advice to clients in a commercially astute manner while providing outstanding client service. Additionally, they will assist with marketing the department’s services and engaging in business development activities to enhance the firm’s and team’s reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a team on a caseload of high-value clinical negligence (and some personal injury) cases under supervision.
  • Directly engage with clients to take instructions and ensure a full understanding to meet client expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with partners and senior lawyers to develop client relationship skills.
  • Raise their personal profile and attract delegated work.
  • Take responsibility for aspects of business development projects within the department.
  • Research and draft articles and assist with the production of marketing materials.
  • Begin to develop a network of clients, contacts, and potential referrers, attending relevant networking events.
  • Manage time recording, work-in-progress monitoring, and billing consistently on files and matters.
  • Contribute to fee forecasting.
  • Work towards personal and team KPIs, measuring performance against these.

Skills, Experience, and Attributes:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with NQ-2 years of PQE.
  • Previous experience in clinical negligence and personal injury matters is essential.
  • Urdu language skills are preferable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on high-value cases.
  • Strong client management skills with a focus on delivering excellent client service.
  • Organized and capable of effectively prioritizing tasks.
