An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Philanthropy Lead to join a dynamic Fundraising team, playing a crucial role in securing funds to support vital care and mental health services.

About the RoleThe Philanthropy Lead will be a key member of the Fundraising team, which raises significant funds annually to sustain essential community services. This role involves contributing to ambitious fundraising targets and delivering impactful projects and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and managing relationships with key supporters, including major donors and Patrons.
  • Coordinating a portfolio of supporters to ensure long-term engagement and increased contributions.
  • Organising events, from small-scale engagement activities to high-profile fundraising dinners.
  • Producing bespoke proposals, update reports, and other essential donor materials.
  • Supporting the wider fundraising team in achieving their objectives and delivering key initiatives.

Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will have exceptional relationship-building skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong passion for philanthropy. Experience in fundraising, proposal writing, and event coordination is essential, as is a thorough understanding of philanthropy and its potential impact.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience managing donor relationships and delivering successful fundraising projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with databases such as Raisers Edge.
  • A background in or knowledge of the [specific community or cause, if applicable] is desirable but not essential.
