PHP Developer - Insurance Industry

Location: London (On-site 4 days a week)Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented PHP Developer to join our growing team at a leading insurance company in London. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and maintain web applications that drive our business operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, contributing to scalable and high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using PHP and Laravel
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and developers to build robust solutions
• Troubleshoot and debug technical issues efficiently
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices and high coding standards
• Optimise application performance and responsiveness
• Maintain databases and integrate third-party APIs as needed

Key Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in PHP with experience in the Laravel framework
• Strong knowledge of MySQL and database management
• Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
• Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Understanding of Git for version control
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative environment

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with Docker and/or CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud platforms
• Exposure to insurance or financial services industry projects
