Location: South Woodham Ferrers, Essex

Salary: Very Competitive depending on experience (£27,000 to £32,000 per annum)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full-time 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday's

About the role

What you’ll be doing...

• Measure, cut, and assemble frames according to customer specifications.
• Cutting glass, mount board, foam board, backing boards and other materials.
• Select appropriate materials and tools for framing projects.
• Mount artwork using various techniques, including float-mounting.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.

Machinery and tools you will use include:

• Morso
• Circular saw-cutting machines
• Underpinners, various models
• Point drivers
• CNC mount cutting machines

Experience Required:

• Minimum 1 year previous experience as a picture framer.
• If no previous experience as a framer, then 2 years minimum experience as a second-fix carpenter or a bench joiner would be essential.
• Good quality work and an eye for fine detail is necessary.
• Ability to work independently to tight deadlines and across multiple projects simultaneously.
• Full UK driving license
