Job Role: Planning Officer

Job Location: Somerset

Salary: £40ph

Working period: Monday - Friday

Working Hours: 37 hours

Assignment period: 4 - 6 months

Our Planning Officer work within a planning environment. You will be working as part of a team to ensuring compliance with planning regulations and addressing breaches of planning control for the more complex cases across Somerset.

You will be expected to provide a high standard of work to the role.

Your role will / may also include working with:

• Compliance activities within the Development Management directorate.
• Investigate complaints regarding breaches of planning control
• Prepare and serve enforcement notices and other legal documents
• Ensure that all enforcement actions comply with relevant legislation and council policies.

Minimum Requirements for the Role

• Degree in town planning, urban planning.
• RTPI membership
• Planning enforcement qualifications.
