Play Worker
Are you passionate about working with children and young people? Our client is seeking a Play Worker to help deliver fun, engaging, and meaningful activities that support the personal development of young people. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in children's lives while contributing to a vibrant and dynamic play environment.
In this role, you will work directly with children and young people to support their personal growth by designing and delivering enjoyable and creative activity programs. You'll also play a key role in supervising play facilities, ensuring they operate effectively and meet high standards of health and safety. Collaborating with young people in the planning process is integral to this role, as is maintaining essential records such as user registers, risk assessments, and accident reports.
Your responsibilities will include promoting activities within the community, assisting with fundraising initiatives, and ensuring the facility is well-maintained. You may also help monitor and coordinate any required repairs to play structures and facilities, ensuring they meet appropriate health and safety standards.
The role involves supporting volunteers and trainees, actively promoting equal opportunities, and adhering to safeguarding protocols to protect the welfare of children and young people. You'll also participate in training and development opportunities to meet statutory and departmental requirements while keeping your skills and knowledge up to date.
