PLC Controls Engineer - Rise 10 Talent Ltd : Job Details

Are you an experienced PLC Controls Engineer with Siemens and Allen Bradley expertise (Step 7, TIA Portal, Logix5000)?

Rise10 are looking for an experienced PLC Controls Engineer to join a market leading supplier of integrated warehouse automation solutions. Duties of a PLC Controls Engineer :

• Drive technical development of intra-logistics warehouse automation solutions from concept to completion
• Develop PLC code and processes from scratch for warehouse automation systems
• Collaborate closely with in-house electrical design engineers (Eplan/AutoCAD) during the design phase
• Lead implementation and commissioning phases, ensuring successful deployment
• Oversee project progression through final commissioning to client handover
• Conduct on-site commissioning and support at client locations across the UK, with occasional international assignments

Skills and experience required of a PLC Controls Engineer:

• Expertise in conveyor/ASRS systems, barcode integration, and WCS/WMS systems, with familiarity in networks such as AS-i, Profibus, Profinet, and Ethernet/IP.
• Skilled in developing PLC code from scratch and leading final commissioning through to handover.
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics, safety circuits, and warehouse design, including material handling equipment, within logistics, warehousing, distribution, or fulfilment sectors.
• Proven ability to deliver innovative, customer-focused solutions with excellent communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and self-motivated team player with high initiative and a strong customer focus.
