Job Description :

The Cayman Islands Government, Strategic Reform Implementation Unit, within the Office of the Deputy Governor is currently inviting applications for the following roles within a professional and high performing entity with an excellent work culture.

The post holder will be responsible for developing best-practice project management standards and methodologies for implementation across the Civil Service. They will offer training and hands-on support to Civil Service programme and project managers; and drive continuous improvement and help ensure adherence across the Civil Service to best practices in project management.

This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership abilities, and interpersonal skills to effectively support novice and experienced project managers and drive continuous improvement in project management practices within the ODG and across the Civil Service. The aim is to promote consistent best practice and help position projects to succeed and deliver the maximum value for the Government and the people of the Cayman Islands.

Role Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject, such as project management, business administration, or information technology.
  • Project Management certification, such as Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 Practitioner, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in project management roles, preferably within government or large organizations, with a track record of successfully handling complex projects.
  • Change Management Certification, such as PROSCI, APMG Change Management Registered Practitioner, CCMP or equivalent, demonstrating expertise in managing organisational change related to project management practices.
  • Certification in training delivery, facilitation techniques, or adult learning principles, or demonstrated experience in the effectively delivery of training and development programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization, including senior leadership, project sponsors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in using project management software such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or Trello, as well as collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
