Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust are currently seeking an experienced Podiatrist to provide a high quality, responsive service for patients in inpatient settings within the Buckinghamshire areas which include;
· Stoke Mandeville Hospital, HP21 8AL
· High Wycombe

· Various Community Locations across Buckinghamshire

Working in Buckinghamshire, you will be part of a 6,000 person team of highly trained clinical staff, working with a Trust whose goal is to Collaborate with each other, aspire to be the best, respect everyone, and enable people to take responsibility. The care for a population of 500,000 patients across their 3 hospital sites, local bases and the community. Their stroke service is one of the best in the region, and are a centre for burns and plastics, along with a world famous National Spinal Injuries Centre.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the planning and delivery of specialised Podiatry knowledge and skills to assess, diagnose and treat patients presenting with complex problems, often with underlying conditions such Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and PVD. The role requires the use of biomechanical knowledge in patients’ treatment planning, as well delivering wound care healing therapies to a high standard.
Our podiatry service has placement rotations for staff within its own specialist teams, such as Rheumatology, MSK and Diabetes / Wound clinics as well as regular sessions on the nail surgery rota. We meet for monthly staff meetings and clinical reasoning sessions. There will be a small home visiting caseload.
