My client is looking for a Welsh speaking Policy and Projects Officer
Job Purpose
To develop and implement quality assurance processes within the service
The role is mainly office based but will require attendance at meetings across the region as required. The role may also involve making presentations to a range of groups within the council and other locations. As a result the post holder will be required to take responsibility for maintaining and securing appropriate equipment.
Direct, and check the work of 2 L08 staff members and on occasion agency workers to ensure the effective use of the Raise systemem and correct information is collated, interpreted and submitted to the senior management team, Elected Members and the Department’s regulaters CSSIW and the WAO and Welsh Government
Develop and introduce performance frameworks across the P&SC and ASC Departments in relation to cross cutting areas of work
Develop and deliver specific training for staff in front line social work teams relating to performance frameworks and the RAISe system
The work will mainly include the management of confidential data systems. From time to time the post may involve management of budgets for particular projects
The post holder will be required to project manage new initiatives from development through to implementation stage as directed by Head of Service, Safeguarding. This may include developing positive relationships with partner agencies and services users in particular service areas for example with the formation of integrated multi agency projects such as the Multi agency safeguarding team. This will necessitate the need for a flexible and imaginative approach to problem solving across several agency areas and departments. The post holder will also be required to direct and check the work of 2 L08 staff members, plus agency workers to ensure the effective use of the RAISe system and ensure correct information is collated, interpreted and submitted as directed by the senior management team.
