About our clientOur client is a public and private equity investor based in London that has identified opportunistic investments for over 20 years. Their investments in publicly listed companies, where the firm started its journey, have consistently delivered market-leading returns through their hybrid approach. The firm's differentiated investment strategy is based on the constant screening of thousands of small-cap companies to find those that are undervalued. They do this by looking at businesses which generate high cash flows, but are misunderstood and thus undervalued. They become heavily involved in their operational turnarounds by taking a significant stake in these companies, and as an Analyst you would be given the opportunity to work with the team closely throughout this process. What the job involves

• Working with the Procurement Director to improve procurement strategy for portfolio companies
• Data analysis and financial modelling
• Conducting vendor analysis and spending time mapping the market
• Working with the C-suite at portfolio companies to identify value creation opportunities
• Supporting the execution of value creation initiatives

Who we are looking for

• Strong quantitative analysis skills with experience owning data-heavy workstreams; strong Excel skills, and comfortable with messy or ambiguous data
• Experience within consulting, accounting, or value creation
• Thoughtfulness, with the ability to consider problems from multiple angles before jumping to conclusions
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
